ATG Rehab’s New Connecticut Service Center in Rocky Hill
Hosts U.S. Congressman John B. Larson
[Rocky Hill, Conn., October 2, 2009] - U.S. Congressman John B. Larson (CT-01), chairman of the Democratic Caucus, recently toured ATG Rehab’s newly opened Connecticut service center in Rocky Hill, which is also the hometown of the company’s corporate headquarters.
Congressman Larson made the tour — led by ATG Rehab CEO Paul Bergantino, a resident of Cromwell, and President of Northeast Regional Operations Frank Biondello Jr., a resident of South Glastonbury — to learn about the challenges that persons with disabilities are facing in obtaining complex rehabilitation equipment in light of current Medicare legislation.
One of North America’s leading providers of specialized wheelchairs, seating systems and other physical rehabilitation equipment, ATG Rehab’s 23,000 square feet complex rehab facility at 65 Inwood Road in Rocky Hill, which opened in July, also serves as the service hub for the company’s east coast operations.
“It was a distinct pleasure to host Congressman Larson at our newest facility here in Rocky Hill,” said Bergantino. “I am honored and grateful in the Congressman’s interest in ATG Rehab and how our services enhance the lives of children and adults with complex disabilities. We are committed to creating additional skilled jobs in Connecticut to help our company meet the high product quality and customer service standards our customers deserve.”
In the past year ATG Rehab has provided services to thousands of customers nationally and 3,600 customers throughout Connecticut, including 900 customers with disabilities that reside in Connecticut’s First Congressional District. The rapidly growing company has 20 full service locations across 15 states and employs more than 550 people, including over 100 in Connecticut.
