Accessing Switches
0.15 (CEUs) for attending 1.5 hours of instruction. Denver, CO

As assistive technology continues to advance, more and more means of accessing that technology become available. If switches have been chosen as an access method, the next step of an assessment is determining the switch type(s) to be used and placement. This session will demonstrate a variety of mechanical and electrical switches and discuss assessment strategies to find that ever elusive switch location for optimal access to assistive technology. Switch mounting will also be addressed.
Introduction to Mobility Device Evaluation
0.1 (CEUs) for attending 1.0 hours of instruction. Rocky Hill, CT
Cost: FREE
Purpose: For a general clinician to recognize the need for a thorough patient assessment for mobility assistive equipment. Also, for a therapist to understand how to quantify mobility impairment and use the CMS clinical decision making algorithm for decision making.
The Mat Evaluation

To explain the basics of a mat evaluation to a physical or occupational therapist new to wheelchair seating evaluation.
Pressure Mapping Evaluation

To explain the basics of performing a pressure mapping assessment, including indications for when a consumer might require one and interpretation of the data produced by the assessment.
